| Okkie Smuts Hostel, Standford
|
A wonderful ministry opportunity recently opened up for Live The Life Church in Okkie Smuts Primary School,
Stanford.
The school has a hostel with 58 children. Most of them are from underprivileged backgrounds - either financial,
emotional or both. Live the Life Church has been given the opportunity to minister to this group every
Tuesday evening from 6-7pm. Andries & Coia are leading this initiative, which consists mostly of small group
activities. There is still a need for more small group facilitators. "Most of all the children need love,
commitment and stability, as many of them lack this at home", says Andries, who has been involved with
the hostel for several years.
Matthew 19:13 "Then little children were brought to Jesus for Him to place His hands on them and pray for
them!"

| Lukhanyo Feeding Scheme
|
We are stirred as a church to get involved in our community, especially reaching out to the poor. A few
years ago God opened a door for us at Lukhanyo Primary School in Zwelihle. Every Monday morning, during term
time, a team of us arrive with huge steaming pots of samp & beans to feed the Grade 1's and 2's. It is an
unforgettable experience and the best way imaginable to start your week. If you would like to get involved
by either cooking or coming to the school please contact Cynthia through
our church office.
Isaiah 58:6-7 "Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen: to loose the chains of injustice and
untie the cords of the yoke, to set the oppressed free and break every yoke? Is it not to share your food with
the hungry and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter."
