Acts 2:42 "Everyone was filled with awe... all believers had everything in common... they praised God... everyday their numbers grew as people were saved!" Live The Life Church is a church made up of small groups that we have chosen to call “Life Groups”. These are groups that meet on Wednesday evenings in homes. They are called Life Groups because it is where we live out our Christianity and where we belong relationally. They are groups where growing as Christians, through study of the Word, times of enjoying God in worship and coming before Him in prayer are as important as groups where evangelism and reaching the unchurched takes place. They are also groups where relationships are built and strengthened. What is it biblically based on? We get our model from the believers in the early church. Acts 2:42-47 shows how they would meet in the temple court for celebration and in each other’s homes. They devoted themselves to the same teaching and shared everything with each other so that no one was in need. They experienced God moving in incredible ways and saw many new believers added to them. We want to live out what we read about in Scripture here at Live The Life Church. We have leaders leading “Life Groups” - geographical community groups of all sizes. What is our vision for Life Groups? Like in the book of Acts in the days of the early church we want to see the same in our Life Groups. Believers meeting, applying the vision of the church that's brought on a Sunday to the way we live our lives. Worshiping together and praying together. Learning to live out our faith within community. Then those communities - Life Groups - come together on a Sunday for a celebration service where we worship God together, grow through the Word and enjoy fellowship together. The Life Groups reflect what God is doing on a corporate level at Live The Life Church. We believe that church growth starts within the “Life Groups”. Then people looking into our Sunday meetings and eventually becoming a part of the church where they in turn develop relationships and accountability and begin to get involved in the life of the church, each member within a Life Group serving within a ministry in the church where their spiritual giftings can best be put into practice. |
